Leanne understands that every legal decision is also a business decision and collaborates with her clients to craft legal solutions that achieve their strategic business goals. Leanne has a passion for learning her clients’ business model, growth and funding goals, and strategic vision in order to provide tailored legal advice and services to meet each client’s unique needs. She is a people person and team player, ready to approach each challenge with a tenacious and positive attitude.
To bolster her ability to holistically assist each client, Leanne has cultivated educational and professional experience at the nexus of business and law. Prior to joining DMC, Leanne worked as an insolvency and restructuring associate at Husch Blackwell LLP, working on complex transactions in the distressed asset space. Leanne also earned an M.B.A. in addition to her law degree from the University of Virginia in order to better understand the decisions her clients would face. While at UVA, Leanne served as Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Law & Business Review, where she worked alongside academics, practitioners, and policymakers to publish evolving scholarship in the field. Leanne uses her background in both law and business to work alongside clients in crafting legal solutions that integrate their business goals.
Leanne supports all corporate practice areas, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, corporate governance, entity formation, and general corporate issues. She is currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
In her free time, Leanne enjoys bouldering, hiking with her dogs Teddy and Charlie, and checking off parks on her National Park bucket list.
